One of the prominent Durga Pooja in Kolkata. Chetla Agrani is situated in Chetla near Kalighat. The nearest metro station is Kalighat which is about 15 minutes walk. One can easily get share auto rickshaw on this route. Being a popular puja it attracts a lot of crowds and also due to its presence in a popular locality.
Chetla Agrani Club has always created some of the finest themes and Durga idol.But this year it was a bit different; as it was the 25th year they have created something amazing.
On entering the dome-shaped pandal one can see Shakti
"Ya Devi sarvabhuteshu
Shakti-rupen sansthita.
Namas-tasyai namas-tasyai,
namas-tasyai namo namaha"
Written all over the wall. With a first glimpse on the idol, you can guess the idol was different. The front idol was of Lord Shiva.
Since it, 2017 was the silver jubilee year of Chetla Agrani. They have crafted the idol using Mahogany Wood and with the brilliant dome-shaped Pandal they have depicted their theme Antaheen or immortality.
